There are so many things we encounter in our lives, sometimes daily, that will bring bring up the question, "how is this ever going to work out?" Or, the emotion of fear, or what can I do to fix this problem in front of me? To have faith in God requires us to trust in Him to take care of the "how". Lately I have been so aware that it is God whom I need to place my trust to turn things around.
Some words of Max Lucado are very insightful.
"Faith is trusting
what the eye can't see.
Eyes see the prowling lion.
Faith sees Daniel's angel.
Eyes see storms, faith see Noah's rainbow.
Eyes see giants, faith sees Canaan.
Your eyes see your faults.
Your faith sees your Savior.
Your eyes see your guilt.
Your faith see His blood.
Your eyes see your grave.
Your faith sees a city whose
builder and maker is God.
Your eyes look in the mirror and
see a sinner, a failure, a promise-breaker.
But by faith you look in the mirror
and see a robed prodigal bearing the ring of
Grace on your finger and the kiss of
your Father on your face."
He cares about everything we are going through,
and wants us to seek Him for our destiny...to turn things
around and empower us. This takes trust and faith.
"Cast all your anxiety in Him because He loves you."

AJ's Party
Austin and his friends took Nerf gun fun to a whole new level in our home this weekend. We had twelve boys and five hours to play. With the exception of one half hour spent eating pizza and cupcakes...they ran through every room in the house and out windows to get outside. They were up the treehouse and anywhere else they could find to hide. They never got tired of the nerf guns! Austin was thrilled with all the fun he had with his friends. Just a few dirty walls and no injuries...soap and water did the trick. Boys and girls are soooo different!

Wynne
Today I was blessed to have my dear friend and old college roommate Wynne (Gabriel) Coleman come and spend the afternoon with me. She and her hubby Steve are in Tuscon visiting from Kansas City. What a treat that was! We talked and talked...laughed about fun, crazy, stupid things we did and realized how so much time can pass with little or no skip in the beat of a friendship. How can people pick up right where they left off after many years, marriage and four kids between the two of us? A lot to talk about. It was great to hear her voice, her laugh (she has a great one), her side of the memories and enjoy all of this over one of our favorite pass times...eating. Oregano's was delicious! A baked chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and all!! It was a wonderful day with my friend. The last time I saw her was 11 years ago...when Austin was a baby. She is beautiful, very fun and so sweet!
